OK...OK...let me write how I see it, and then I'll sit back and read the responses from my blog critics. That's fair, right?
First of all let's find some common ground. Doesn't matter if you're a Republican, Democrat, Independent, or whatever, I know we can all agree that the education of our youth is foremost for the future success, growth, and sustenance of our country.
It was unnerving for me this morning while watching a segment of a TV news program, when it was reported that there seems to be a two faceted growing concern among middle class parents who are financing their childrens' college education. There is also a frightening concern with college graduates finding meaningful careers, while trying to repay their college loans.
Barack and his team of Reid and Pelosi would have you believe the only way our country can prosper is to tax, spend, and give taxpayer money to the welfare and food stamp entitlement programs. Barack and his team of "merry bandits" have, with the help of his fawning media, have convinced many Americans the best group to attack is corporations, small businesses and the wealthy. Take money from them to give to the welfare/freebie/unemployed community seems to be their theme. They truly believe this is the main course to prosperity.
Let's see what happens when this takes place. Corporations, small business, and the wealthy will begin to pull back their assets, will cut back their work forces, will limit their spending, and most of all will grossly limit or cease job creation. We've already seen this in many corporations and small businesses. We're now averaging close to 360,000 a week filing for first time unemployment insurance, along with a national unemployment of near 8%.
Another stonewall to the growth and future of our country is that we're finding that even Obamacare is a failure before it even moves into high gear. Many large corporations are refusing to offer health care insurance to employees. Many small businesses are cutting back working hours to employees so as not have to offer any health insurance. What does that have to say about the Obamacare plan that was passed in secret chambers and all 2,977 pages jammed down our throats. Is that what's best for the future of our country?
So, of course this "trickles down" to the average middle class wage earner who plans to send their children to college. I would like to see an up-to-date poll of how many middle class families have had to fore go sending their children to college because of lost jobs and the economic status of our country.
To continue with the "trickle down disaster", we send our children to college to become engineers, doctors, teachers, scientists, along with other meaningful careers to enter our work force to make a better America. To make our country effective and competitive in the world market. Instead, these potential college students cannot afford to attend college for an advanced meaningful education, and some even must take lesser jobs, some even end up on welfare. And of course their welfare community is financed by the very same corporations, wealthy investors, and small businesses that are being forced to hold onto their assets. Can you see what the vicious cycle of "trickle down disaster" will continue to cause?
Now, please indulge me while we visit former President Reagan's philosophy of "trickle down economics". First we drastically reduce corporate taxes on corporations, allowing them to invest in expanding their business investments thereby leading to increased hiring. Next we reduce taxes on wealthy investors giving them incentives to invest thereby creating more jobs.
And what happens when more jobs are created? Middle class wage earners make money that is taxed to help our economy, and with gainful employment can make plans to send their child to college. The child goes to college and studies for a meaningful career when entering the work force. We must remember, along with effective entitlement spending reductions and more employment our welfare nanny state will drastically shrink.
This is a win-win combination for all, and was successfully accomplished by the Reagan administration in the 80's. We must understand that if Barack and his "merry bandits" continue with their "trickle down disaster" methods the only thing we can be sure of is that our welfare nanny state will grow and grow. Now, will any of my critics educate me as to how this is going to help the future growth of our economy and our country?
When a normal middle class family sees their finances headed for a downward spiral they will discuss their finances, establish a budget and strive to live and spend within their budget. that would make sense for our own Congress, except that Senate majority leader Harry Reid hasn't submitted a budget to Barack in almost 1,400 days. How can you live within a budget if you don't even have one.
As I've written in earlier blogs, these members of Congress, along with Barack, that we voted in to preserve and advance the success of our great country will not themselves absorb any of the economic pitfalls of our country now and in the future. They'll be fine with the enormous payouts of security we give them when they leave office. Why should they care; it's not their money; it's ours.
We cannot continue down the path of taxing and spending into prosperity. We must invest in our businesses to create jobs so we can invest in the true basic need for the success of our country, and that is the education of our children. Take your pick; grow our welfare nanny community, or invest in the education of our young community. What do you say?
Today we have college graduates that have struggled to finish their college educations, and cannot find a job because of our current economic crisis. For the first time ever there are many discovering that even with a college degree it is becoming more and more difficult to attain a meaningful career. And on top of that they must find a way to begin repaying their college loans.
I've heard young people even fearing going to college only to face unemployment, along with interest bearing student loans to repay. I have a grandson who is in his second year of pre-med at a leading university, and my daughter is already talking about the fear of what his student loans will be like when he completes his medical education and training.
I am very afraid, not only for the $16.trillion national debt, and the economic direction our country is now in, but also for what our youth will be inheriting. Are you afraid?

Guns vs. Politics
I'm not going to apologize for writing another blog on guns and the Second Amendment rights. I'm just a 77-year old Air Force vet, that owns three duly registered handguns, is licensed to carry a handgun when I leave the house, make my own reload bullets, and when weather permits I go to the range twice a week to shoot at targets. It's a passion of mine.
As I've said in my previous blogs I pride myself in following all gun laws and complete safety protocol when handling my handguns. Ironically it was the Chief of Police in our city that suggested I get a handgun, register it, get licensed to carry and learn to shoot it, and abide by all the laws.
My wife did the same, as did other members of our family. My son-in-law has target rifles that he has registered, and that's the point of my blog today. Most people today do not know the difference between assault weapons and target rifles. I'd like to try to clear that up.
An AR-15 is not an assault weapon just because it has the initials "AR" on its description. An AR-15 has the capacity to fire quickly, but you must pull the trigger each time you want a round discharged through the barrel. On the other hand with a true assault weapon you can pull back on the trigger just once, keep the trigger pulled back, and you can fire a 20-round magazine in a few seconds. Also, an assault weapon will give the option of discharging one round at a time.
Since 1986 assault weapons have been banned, and only the military and certain state and federal police organizations can have an assault weapon in their possession. Yes, there are certain assault weapons that have been "grandfathered" in, but are legally registered under the National Firearms Act. A fully automatic weapon is widely known as a "machine-gun", and it is a felony for a citizen to own a fully automatic weapon.
There are two distinct problems here. The first problem is obvious; criminals do not pay attention to any law banning fully automatic rifles and handguns. Criminals will continue to use fully automatic assault weapons in the commission of their crimes. The second problem here is many Americans, beginning with Senator Feinstein of California, do not know the difference between a target shooting rifle and a fully automatic assault rifle. Senator Feinstein will have you believe an AR-15 semi-automatic is an assault weapon.
It's obvious that Barack, along with his partners Gaffer Biden and Eric "close-mouthed" Holder are outwardly attacking our Second Amendment rights. It's ironic that Barack and Holder take this position because they "dozed off" when hundreds of assault weapons just "walked" across the border into Mexico, and on of these weapons was used to kill one of our own border patrol agents. What is worse, the case of "Fast & Furious" still remains unresolved.
Of course it's a political fight started by our elite left wing progressive liberals, led by Barack.
Remember while campaigning against Barack in 2008 Biden yelled out to his audience, "ain't no way Obama is taking my rifle away from me"? At the same time Barack was campaigning to his audience, "I don't want to take your rifles and handguns away from you". If it wasn't so true it would be comical. Now that these two are running the show in D.C., all of a sudden they want to meet with organizations in an effort to just about stop the sales of guns and ammunition.
I have a question or two about this. How come since Barack started this mission of banning guns the NRA membership has increased by over 100,000 in less than three weeks? Also, how come legal guns, ammunition, and reloading supply sales are skyrocketing at an enormous rate as I'm writing this. As soon as I heard Barack appointed Gaffer Joe Biden to investigate this I looked up to heaven and said, "God help us...not Biden".
Then I e-mailed, telephoned, and visited my reloading suppliers and purchased the legally required limit of bullets, primers, and powder. I'm so afraid that with Gaffer Joe heading up this investigation I'm not taking any chances. The very strong supposition is Barack wants to heavily increase taxes on gun and supply sales so it will be passed on in hopes consumers will be discouraged and stop buying guns and supplies. Will someone please tell Barack and Gaffer Joe their attack on the Second Amendment, even with the help of his fawning media will not stop Americans rights to our Second Amendment laid down by our founding fathers.
My wife and I visited a neighboring state, became legally approved to carry a handgun in their state. Because of state reciprocity throughout the country we can legally conceal-carry our handguns in all states except three; New York, Illinois, and California. I'm sure everyone knows by now that these three states will not legally allow citizens to carry handguns for protection. Of course criminals do not care about gun laws. Isn't it ironic that these three states lead the nation in gun crimes, and the city of Chicago is the "city winner" of gun homicides throughout the country? Did anyone expect the criminals to abide by gun control laws? Of course not....well Barack, Holder, and Biden do.
News anchor Piers Morgan of CNN wants all of us to believe that we should ban all guns, and that will slow down gun crimes. Has he taken a look at his mother country England lately? Citizens cannot arm themselves in England and gun crime has soared. By the way there's a petition floating around to send Piers back to England, however, England started their own petition stating they don't want him back.
The good news for us gun enthusiasts is there are currently eight states, with more to follow, that will not allow the federal government to come into their state and ban semi-automatic weapons. Further, if any from the federal government come into their state to enforce a ban on semi-automatic weapons they will be arrested and charged with a felony crime.
Because Barack, Holder, and Biden want to take our guns away it follows that all the left wing radical progressive libs and their fawning media will support this and continue to attack any conservative Republican by blaming them for all gun crimes in the country. This is why this investigation is nothing more than a witch hunt and another political controversy.
I pride myself on being a gun enthusiast. Target shooting and reloading is a hobby of mine. I legally own and have registered two .38 specials, and one .357. My wife never leaves the house without her snub-nosed .38 in her purse. We both pray that we never point or shoot at anything more than a target on the gun range. However, when we retire at the end of the day we load our handguns with hollow points, set the home alarm, and sleep like newborns.
You cannot solve and/or stop gun crimes by repealing our Second Amendment. We must open investigations on WHY there are gun crimes. There's a cartoon floating around where a man with a knife is standing over someone lying on the ground bleeding, and he's asked by a bystander, "why did you stab that man with a knife"? In the next cartoon there is the same scenario except the man has a gun instead of a knife. The bystander then says, "we have to ban all guns to stop this".
We cannot make our Second Amendment a political fight. "Why" there are gun crimes must be investigated, not the punishment of law-abiding citizens by repealing their rights to protect themselves. I could go on writing about this passion of my Second Amendment rights, but I've taken too much of your time already. Thanks for reading.
By the way on another subject; I had a weird dream last night. The victims of Hurricane Sandy were all African-Americans, and Barack was a Caucasian Republican president. My dream went on to to see Charley Rangel, Jessee Jackson, Al Sharpton, Van Jones, and others screaming into the cameras that it is unjust that financial aid has not been given to these victims. Just as I was waking up I thought I heard Sharpton utter, "this is all Bush's fault". Then I woke up. Wow what a dream.

Trust you? Why?
During my many years as a political news junkie I've heard, watched, and seen more than my share of candidates stumping and bloviating on their campaigns begging for our votes. I've listened to more promises and lies than I will ever be able to remember.
City mayor hopefuls, House Representative candidates, Senator wannabes, and even on two occasions presidential hopefuls. Yes, I've heard it all. I've discovered that they think the American public is stupid and will forget the promises they make to gain our vote after they are in their elected office.
In most cases these candidates will smoothly stand on the stage and beg us to believe what they are saying; "Give me a chance to prove I can make things better" they say. It seems the best orator and smoothest speaking candidate gets out vote; see Barack.
Yes, Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, and even the Messiah Barack can jump for joy and jubilation as they did the best job of getting enough votes. Barack gets to use our White House as his home base as he vacations and golfs. Please don't expect him to do anything else.
News anchors and journalists are joking that there won't be anyone at Mr. Obama's inauguration this month because so many of the welfare/food stamp/unemployed will be home using their EBT cards to visit strip clubs, liquor stores, and casinos. Are those jokes really that far from the truth?
What a great job the Death Spiral Trio of Barack, Reid, and Pelosi did on convincing Americans that only the elite wealthy would suffer a tax increase. In undertone muted breath they uttered so no one would hear was, "oh yeah we're also raising payroll taxes". This means, in reality, that 77% of Americans began to notice less money in their paycheck starting a week ago.
All Americans on supplemental health insurance will notice an increase in their monthly premiums. My monthly premium jumped $32.00 a month beginning this month. Many, many companies, schools, hospitals, and small businesses are now cutting hours back, laying off employees, and ceased any job creation so as not to offer any health insurance programs to employees.
So what happened this past November? Well, it seems fifty-one per cent of voters "drank the Kool-Aid", and believed Barack's stump speech teleprompter reading accolades that growing government would help them attain a "spread the wealth" better way of life. And the Barack-fawning media is telling us everything is fine. The media wants Americans to believe that despite 7.9% unemployment, 50 million Americans on welfare, and nearly 400,000 are filing first time unemployment claims every week, that "our economy is stabilizing". What? Does anyone really believe that?
What Barack failed to do was give the real message to the country he was voted in to lead. And that is that " you cannot tax and spend your way into prosperity". Barack says he wants to be like former president Ronald Reagan, but how can he, when it was President Reagan that coined that phrase? Someone has to tell Barack that you can't push people back down, make them dependent on the Government and expect our great country to prosper.
I am, however, encouraged. Since Barack has been voted in to golf and vacation from our White House his daily approval ratings have dropped. Hard working Americans are starting to spit out the Kool-Aid, and are ceasing to believe in his expanded Government philosophy. Well, not all Americans. We still have the 50+ million on welfare that Barack has convinced big government is best, and they can continue to have a better way of life because he's going after "the fat cats who make a lot of money", and pass it on to them.
Why is everyone amazed that the trust in our political leaders is waning? Remember President Lincoln's famous "you can't fool all the people all the time"? Well many Americans are starting to see through the smooth talking promises, and there's a lot of dis-trust of our political leaders coming through the horizons.
Americans were promised lower taxes except for the $400,000 earners. The bare truth is state, city, property, health care, and payroll taxes have increased for 77% of American money earners. The only Americans who really don't pay attention to this statistic are the welfare people making their "freebie" income off the backs of hard working Americans.
The other bare truth is that Barack doesn't care about any of these statistics. He really believes in the press releases that ABC, NBC, CBS, MSNBC, and CNN are broadcasting about their love for him. It's going to be a long road back from the spending Barack wants to levy on good hard Americans. Let's face it....he's in our White House for four more years. Yes, it's enlightening to know that Americans are awaking, which makes me believe in the adage about "waking the sleeping giant".
We'll really start our move back in 2014, where our first steps will be to get rid of the House and Senate mis-fits, beginning with Harry Reid. Harry Reid is near 1,400 days without submitting a budget to help Congress manage our financial affairs. Hey, maybe it's because he just doesn't know how to work up a budget.
We have elected members of Congress to represent us; that's the bottom line, and they continue to fail us in all areas. It's time for us to look ahead to 2014. Yes, true hope and change is what our great country truly needs.

Harry Reid is near 1,400 days without submitting a budget to help Congress manage our financial affairs. Hey, maybe it's because he just doesn't know how to work up a budget.
We have elected members of Congress to represent us; that's the bottom line, and they continue to fail us in all areas. It's time for us to look ahead to 2014. Yes, true hope and change is what our great country truly needs.

Americans who hate U.S.
What do Oliver Stone, Michael Moore, Bill Maher, Rosie O'Donnel, Janeane Garafalo, David Letterman, Sean Penn, Ben Jealous, Paul Krugman, Roseann Barr, Joy Behar, and Al Gore all have in common? These are all American citizens born and raised in this great country, who make a living by declaring their hatred for the United States of America.
It's bad enough we have TV news anchors from foreign countries broadcasting on our own major networks that we should abolish our U.S. Constitution, we also have hundreds of college professors teaching the same un-American values to our young students right here in the U.S.
What is happening to the American values laid down by our found fathers? We now have a film maker, Michael Moore, who vehemently states he does not respect, nor will support our American troops fighting in the Middle East. Have you noticed how he goes on major networks and repeats his anti-American views over and over, and then rakes in millions of dollars for his un-patriotic movies? Why is that? Oh yeah, it's our First Amendment rights that protect this America hater.
Let's not forget John Kerry, who served in the military in the Viet Nam war. Senator Kerry has been nominated to become Secretary of State. This very same man likened our military troops to the slaughterings of Genghis Khan. After Mr. Kerry surreptitiously received medals and ribbons during the Viet Nam war he threw his medals and ribbons over a fence and said he was ashamed of our own military. Is this the type of man we want to control our foreign diplomacy with our foreign allies and enemies?
Then we have former Vice President Al Gore, who sold his interest in the Current TV network to El Jazzeera, a well known pro-bin Laden and Taliban supporting news network. Mr. Gore facilitated the sale of his network so the infamous El Jazzeera can now broadcast their anti-American beliefs right here in our country.
What is happening to our great country? To the country that Americans were honored to sweat and work hard to see our land grow? To the country that honored every man and woman who wore the military uniform and fought on foreign land to protect our values of freedom? Why is it now considered "cool" to broadcast on TV and radio that the U.S. is horrible? Are viewing ratings and money to be raised up at all costs?
Why is it so easy to become entirely dependent on our government to survive? Doesn't it scare anyone that our great country now has eleven states, yes eleven states where government workers now outnumber the private sector workers? Because Mr. Obama has proven that expanded government is best for our country, now more than ever we have a growing population totally dependent on the government, and that population grows in enormous leaps and bounds daily.
In many of my blogs I was heavily criticized for defining "makers" versus "takers". By now we all know who they are. Makers work hard, earn a living, and even create jobs. Oh yes, they pay taxes also. Takers consist of our ever-growing population of people who live on welfare, food stamps, and extended unemployment. And while we continue to make life easy for the takers, the takers population will grow, while harboring no strong feelings of ever being nothing more than a taker.
By the way a writer at Forbes Magazine identified these eleven states as Death Spiral States. Of course California is one of the leaders in this field. In California for every 100 people who work hard and pay taxes they are rewarded by some of their tax money going to support 139 government dependent people, including a vast majority on welfare.
The ultimate leader in this field is New Mexico; meaning for every 100 hard-working taxpaying Americans there are 153 "takers". Would you like to know if you live in one of these Death Spiral states?
We've already mentioned California and New Mexico. The remaining ten Death Spiral states include Hawaii, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, Kentucky, Illinois, New York, Maine, and the great state I live in, Ohio.
Want some frosting on the cake? We are so concerned to preserve the dignity of our food stamp recipients, so as not to embarrass them when they are required to display their stamps when shopping. Instead our government issues EBT cards that can be used at ATM's for cash. The problem in many cases is the food stamps recipients will use their EBT cards at ATM kiosks. Then off they go to buy liquor, drugs, visit nude-bar facilities, and gambling casinos. This is not only dishonorable, it's highly illegal.
America, in my plea to ask you to be afraid, I'll close with my own personal story. At twenty years old, stationed at an Air Force base in England I read the entire book, Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire". I'll never forget the feeling the book left me with. I questioned myself and others, "could this ever happen to the U.S.?" After over 400 years the Rome dynasty completely and totally collapsed. The main reason was due to inner conflicts of its political leaders. The Roman Empire imploded from within because its political leaders were more focused on personal power than the welfare of its people.
At the time of reading the book it was 1955, and I was twenty years old, and the country I wore the military uniform for, our United States, was only 179 years old. And the way Mr. Obama is leading our great country, I feel he wants many more than eleven states completely and totally dependent on the government. I am very afraid. Are you? If not, then be very afraid and we must voice our distress to our leaders, and then vote to correct it starting in 2014.

Taxes, guns, Duke, and the garage
The commander-in-chief, of where I live, otherwise known as "wife", ordered me that I couldn't write another blog until I finished the basement painting and garage clean-up chores.
Well, the joke's on her. I'm not done with my chores and I'm writing my "Politics with Pete" blog. I must admit, though, she's out shopping, and I have the Duke basketball game on TV while I'm writing this.
You know, if it wasn't such a liable offense to the office of the Presidency I'd like to call Mr. Obama a liar. I could write several pages of blogs on Mr. Obama's mis-truths, but the most recent rings a strong bell with me. He kept preaching to his teleprompter that middle class Americans, 98% to be exact, were going to experience a tax saving. He kept reading his teleprompter smiling that only the top 2% would realize a tax increase.
Then would someone, anyone, please explain to me that ALL Americans will be receiving less money in their pay checks starting this year. Oh yes, Mr. Obama forgot to tell us that he stopped the payroll tax cut, thereby assuring that all Americans would be bringing home less money every week. Last week while buying a gallon of paint for my chores I struck up a conversation with the worker there that was helping me. I noticed he spoke and looked very professional. He told me during my paint selection that he was a former advertising executive that lost his job, and now works at this local warehouse supply store. Bad enough he lost his professional career for now....he's even going to be taking home less pay thanks to Mr. Obama.
If that wasn't bad enough, Mr. Obama increased payroll tax by 2%. from 4.2% payroll tax to 6.2%. And he says that with a big smile as the 2012 food stamps report has just surfaced. Last year Mr. Obama made sure that $80.4 Billion in food stamps alone was sent to the vast majority of the 51% who voted him in office.
By the way within an hour after he smiled all this news into his teleprompter he jumped on Air Force One, and flew to Hawaii for his belated $4.Million taxpayer funded vacation. This man has no plans to stay in the Oval office and lead. He's not even into his second term, and the label "lame duck" is sticking to him. He is a disgrace to our White House.
His approval ratings in Gallup and Rasmussen polls have dropped nearly five points since his reelection, and that's before his inauguration into his second term. Left wing progressive liberal Bob Beckel yesterday on The Five was singing the praises of Mr. Obama by saying that 150,000 jobs were created last month. Beckel claimed, "this shows Obama's plan is working". Will someone ask Beckel if that's the case why are we still at 7.8% unemployment and on the average over 355,000 Americans are filing first time unemployment claims weekly. Wow, Mr. Beckel, what a recovery.
Remember in 2010 when Mr. Obama was singing into his teleprompter about how great a furniture factory was doing and was singing praises like, "this factory is a great example of how hard work is pulling our country up from our economic problems". Wonder how Mr. Obama feels today when he found out that furniture factory just closed its doors and went out of business. Doesn't seem like a healthy recovery to me. How about you?
Perhaps this next segment of my blog should be "Hooray for Hollywood". Yesterday morning I was on my way out the door headed to the outdoor movie kiosk to return a movie, and my wife called to me as I was halfway in the car, "see if there's anything decent to watch tonight....and stay away from your murder/mayhem plots please".
When I got to the kiosk and started to review the movies I noticed that most of them were murder, mayhem, gun shooting stories about crime, blood, and, well you name it. I returned home to tell my wife, "ah, nothing good at the kiosk". She then told me to come watch the commercial on TV about gun control. Since my wife and I are both licensed gun owners and handgun carriers she knew I'd want to see the commercial.
There on the TV was a montage of Hollywood actors and actresses staring at the camera reminding us we need gun control because of Newton, CT, Aurora, CO, Virginia Tech, etc.
Then as soon as one of these "stars" would insist we need stricter handgun policies the TV would quickly show the same "star" in a movie firing away with their gun. In many cases showing blood spurting from someone they just shot. If you get a chance please watch this commercial. Oh yeah, did you know Mr. Obama, with his latest tax raising gimmick, has awarded Hollywood $344.Million in tax cuts. This, for an industry that makes $$Billions from American taxpayers.
I should probably thank the New York newspaper that published the names and addresses of registered gun owners in their readership area. Before that my wife was always telling me, "quit telling people you own and carry a gun...that's private". Well, the great news is that since this newspaper printed a barrage of gun ownership facts have surfaced. First, in areas of our country where gun registration is high, and handgun carrying is legal, gun crimes are down.
Secondly, ex-gun criminals are stating that gun carrying criminals like to know which houses have registered guns, because that's the homes they stay away from. It makes sense that criminals will be more likely to "visit" homes that have no registered guns.
Now, my wife is telling me, "you know you're right...go ahead and tell anyone you want that you legally own a gun and are licensed to carry it". I was all smiles and I guess I went too far when I asked if I could put up that sign she previously made me take down in the garage. She emphatically said, "now that's going too far...NO". Oh the sign? I made a sign on my computer with pictures of handguns on it, and put it up in the garage. The sign said...ready for it?....THE SECOND THING WE DO IS CALL 911.
Probably my favorite story to stress my feeling that "guns don't kill people, people kill people", is paying homage to my wife's late husband Charles. He was a self-made engineer, successful business man, great husband, and with his wife raised three fantastic children. He was killed in a car accident in 1988, and twelve years later I married his widow.
Charles was an avid hunter that legally owned and registered several rifles and handguns. He was a strong Christian that led by example, following all the gun laws while practicing safety protocol of guns and ammunition. Today, two of his children, my step-daughters, are licensed to own and carry a handgun. Just a few Sundays ago, as I mentioned in a previous blog, there were nine of us family members at the gun range having a great time. Also there was a father showing his daughter for the first time how to handle and shoot a handgun.
Recently, one of my strong liberal progressive liberals spoke to me through Twitter and said I was "all wet...if only police officers and the military carried guns the streets would be safer". So I just tweeted back..."make sure you tell the criminals that too...you know...who the gun criminals are don't you?.....they're the ones that don't legally own and register their guns". He didn't have much to Tweet after that, so I Tweeted back to him, "we should abolish hammers and knives....they kill more people than handguns do".
Oops, gotta go...here comes my commander-in-chief, and the garage still isn't clean yet. By the way Duke won.

Robin Hood-in-chief
Class warfare is alive and flourishing here in the greatest country in the world, and we have the messiah leader Mr. Obama to thank for it. Mr. Obama has clearly defined the definitions and futures of "makers" and "takers", making it official that we are now in class war fare. Thank you for clearing up that matter Mr. Obama.
Let's see how this manifests itself. If you're a successful business owner and/or an entrepreneur, have invested in America by investing in creating jobs, and are enjoying a life that you privately created by hard work, you are definitely considered a "maker".
If, on the other hand, you are part of the 50 million on welfare, and enjoy a life of extended unemployment benefits, enjoy many free "entitlements" like free cell phones, healthcare, and have no plans to enter the work force, look for employment, while you to continue to "game" the system you belong to the "takers".
Now Mr. Obama won reelection because during his first term he grew the "takers" population higher than it's ever been since the great depression. He made it so very easy to become a part of the welfare/freebie community, and that contingency grew, and grew, and grew. But here's where Mr. Obama was shrewd. He convinced the welfare/freebie community that the successful working class people were the evil "fat cats".
Mr. Obama further convinced his welfare/freebie supporters that expanded government is the only way they can be properly "taken care of". Mr. Obama convinced the welfare class during his campaign that if Governor Romney gets elected all their welfare would be gone, and he was great at convincing his contingency of this. According to Mr. Obama the very successful businesses that created jobs should be taxed more so that their increased taxes would go to help the welfare/freebie people.
It's a fact that 75% of the 51% that voted Mr. Obama back in our White House are now currently on welfare/food stamps/extended unemployment. There's an old joke that's been going around since November 6th., of last year. Governor Romney says, "If you elect me President I will put America back to work". And 51% of Americans said, "Heck with that".
Yes, that was considered a joke at the time, but notice how it came to pass.
Mr. Obama claims that taxes will only be raised on those making $400,000. individually, and $450,000. for a family. So doesn't it stand to reason that when taxes are raised on small and large businesses they will just pass that increase on to the consumer, who is already suffering from an economy in dire straits?
Has anyone told the American people that for every dollar in spending cuts, there are $41.00 in spending. We are already at a $16.4Trillion national debt, with a projection of over a trillion dollars a year in spending over the next four years Mr. Obama is in office. Do Americans realize that by the time Mr. Obama leaves office our national debt could well be over $20.trillion.
How about the spending that is about to take place this year. We will give our Hollywood producers $344.Million. We will give Amtrak $300.Million. How do we approve $244.Million to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for rum production? Our tax dollars will also spend $60.million for for algae growth, along with $60.million for electric motorcycle research.Can't you just hear the oink-oink going on in the background now?
I expect Mr. Obama to start appearing at his teleprompter station wearing Robin Hood green tights. You know what he's saying under his breath? "Yeah, I'm gonna tax y'all like crazy for the next four years, but ya ain't gettin' any of mine....me, Michelle, and the girls gonna get a nice pension, ride off into the sunset and let my donors build me my Presidential Library....like my hero M.C. Hammer says..'can't touch this'".
I know there's a lot of Americans, like me, out there who cannot fathom that Mr. Obama and Harry Reid have not passed, nor even submitted a budget since Mr. Obama has been in our White House. Mr. Obama is not the leader we need in our White House. To him, it is so easy to spend other people's money to make himself look good.
Well, to all you welfare/freebie people, at this rate we're going to run out of money soon, and then you may have to go out and get a job, because by then Mr. Obama will be living in Hawaii, and he won't care two cents about you. There will be no money for your welfare/food stamps/extended unemployment. Better not ask Mr. Obama for help. He'll be living it up in Hawaii by then. Is this a great country or what?

If, on the other hand, you are part of the 50 million on welfare, and enjoy a life of extended unemployment benefits, enjoy many free "entitlements" like free cell phones, healthcare, and have no plans to enter the work force, look for employment, while you to continue to "game" the system you belong to the "takers".
Now Mr. Obama won reelection because during his first term he grew the "takers" population higher than it's ever been since the great depression. He made it so very easy to become a part of the welfare/freebie community, and that contingency grew, and grew, and grew. But here's where Mr. Obama was shrewd. He convinced the welfare/freebie community that the successful working class people were the evil "fat cats".
Mr. Obama further convinced his welfare/freebie supporters that expanded government is the only way they can be properly "taken care of". Mr. Obama convinced the welfare class during his campaign that if Governor Romney gets elected all their welfare would be gone, and he was great at convincing his contingency of this. According to Mr. Obama the very successful businesses that created jobs should be taxed more so that their increased taxes would go to help the welfare/freebie people.
It's a fact that 75% of the 51% that voted Mr. Obama back in our White House are now currently on welfare/food stamps/extended unemployment. There's an old joke that's been going around since November 6th., of last year. Governor Romney says, "If you elect me President I will put America back to work". And 51% of Americans said, "Heck with that".
Yes, that was considered a joke at the time, but notice how it came to pass.
Mr. Obama claims that taxes will only be raised on those making $400,000. individually, and $450,000. for a family. So doesn't it stand to reason that when taxes are raised on small and large businesses they will just pass that increase on to the consumer, who is already suffering from an economy in dire straits?
Has anyone told the American people that for every dollar in spending cuts, there are $41.00 in spending. We are already at a $16.4Trillion national debt, with a projection of over a trillion dollars a year in spending over the next four years Mr. Obama is in office. Do Americans realize that by the time Mr. Obama leaves office our national debt could well be over $20.trillion.
How about the spending that is about to take place this year. We will give our Hollywood producers $344.Million. We will give Amtrak $300.Million. How do we approve $244.Million to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands for rum production? Our tax dollars will also spend $60.million for for algae growth, along with $60.million for electric motorcycle research.Can't you just hear the oink-oink going on in the background now?
I expect Mr. Obama to start appearing at his teleprompter station wearing Robin Hood green tights. You know what he's saying under his breath? "Yeah, I'm gonna tax y'all like crazy for the next four years, but ya ain't gettin' any of mine....me, Michelle, and the girls gonna get a nice pension, ride off into the sunset and let my donors build me my Presidential Library....like my hero M.C. Hammer says..'can't touch this'".
I know there's a lot of Americans, like me, out there who cannot fathom that Mr. Obama and Harry Reid have not passed, nor even submitted a budget since Mr. Obama has been in our White House. Mr. Obama is not the leader we need in our White House. To him, it is so easy to spend other people's money to make himself look good.
Well, to all you welfare/freebie people, at this rate we're going to run out of money soon, and then you may have to go out and get a job, because by then Mr. Obama will be living in Hawaii, and he won't care two cents about you. There will be no money for your welfare/food stamps/extended unemployment. Better not ask Mr. Obama for help. He'll be living it up in Hawaii by then. Is this a great country or what?

Mr. O., let's start in Chicago
Please allow me to visit the handgun ban controversy again. It seems you can just choose any position, and there are those that will agree with you, and there are many who will disagree with you.
Many believe we must pass laws to ban sales of all handguns, eliminate gun shows, and raise taxes on guns and ammunition to discourage the sales of guns and ammunition. Some want just assault weapons eliminated. Some even believe we should all have a weapon with us at all times to protect ourselves given the tremendous increase in gun crimes.
Many believe, starting with Mr. Obama, crime will decrease if we take ALL rifles and handguns off the streets, and make gun ownership illegal. Of course that theory is one of the most outrageous misnomers of all times. Does anyone really believe that gun-carrying criminals will abide by any gun ban laws? Of course not.
Implementing gun ban laws will make criminals very happy. They will get increased confidence that when they break into a business or home to commit a crime. They will rest assured that American citizens will have not arms to protect themselves. Gangs will remain confident they can ravage and vandalize communities, as gang members will be the only ones arming themselves with rifles and handguns.
Ironically the very worst city in the nation is Mr. Obama's and Mayor Emanuel's home town of Chicago. Two days ago I watched an ESPN special about a rising basketball 17-year old that was destined to become a college and future professional star. While walking with his girlfriend he was senselessly gunned down by two teen-age gang members. The year? 1984.
The point here is Chicago has endured heavy gun crime for decades, and while Mr. Obama and Chicago Mayor Emanuel want gun control in effect immediately they refuse to discuss their own home town. Illinois, along with California, and New York all have two things in common. One, these three states have the highest rate of gun crimes in the country, and two; these three states do not allow citizens to carry guns to protect themselves.
This goes to my other point that gun carrying criminals in these three states readily know that their gangs and other criminals are the only people carrying guns. They know law-abiding Second Amendment citizens will not be arming themselves for protection. This is the very number one reason that crime is escalating out of control in Chicago.
And our media does not help to promote Second Amendment rights of American citizens. The media is supporting Mr. Obama to promote strict gun control. They write about it in their daily publications. They broadcast it on their daily radio and TV shows. However, they will not ever broadcast or write about how guns in the proper hands can actually prevent crime.
Two days after the Newton, CT Sandy Hook school shooting there was a shooting in San Antonio, Texas that never made the news. A deranged man went to a restaurant, shot his girlfriend, and followed the scattered restaurant patrons to a near-by theater. He was ready to open fire on all the helpless citizens. However, there was an off-duty sheriff in the theater, who pulled her weapon out, opened fire on the the shooter and killed him. Nah, you'll never hear or read about that. The media just wants to present stories to take guns away from Americans, even to the point of repealing the Second Amendment.
I am a proud NRA member, and visit the shooting range at least twice a week. I make my own reload bullets. I took the state exams in Ohio and Pennsylvania, and can legally carry a weapon in every state except the three states, Illinois, California, and New York that have the highest gun crime in the country. My wife is also licensed, and carries a snub-nosed .38 special in her purse.
I am also a proud military veteran that follows each gun law, along with every gun safety protocol. I hope I never point and shoot at anything except an authorized target at an authorized gun range. However, when I retire for the evening I load my .357 and two .38 specials with hollow points, set the house security alarm and sleep like a new-born.
Guns do not kill or harm people. The criminal that pulls the trigger is the one doing the harm or committing the ultimate crime of murder. Rather than ban guns we need to spend more time researching why someone, even a teen-ager, would pull the trigger on a gun. What background did they come from that didn't teach them to obey gun laws, along with displaying respect for their fellow citizens. We have to find out why an individual would feel the only way to settle a dispute is with a gun. At what age did a criminal start becoming a criminal? Babies are all born equal; there are no instructions on the bottoms of babies when they are born. Somehow, they have evolved into gun carrying criminals. How? Why?
We need to spend more time delving into the cause of the increased gun crimes. Implementing gun control is just a small band-aid in ever growing horrendous problem in our country, especially in our schools. Mr. Obama, Mr. Mayor Emanuel take a look in your own back yard before you try to impose any gun control law that will do no good for Americans.
